(Smrt je drina by Khalid Khalifa)
Idea behind Smrt je drina (Death is hard work) book cover design was to
reflect the journey on the map, where the story takes place between the life and death.
Cover image represents the father Abdel Latif and his dead body with his eyes
covered. Below Abdel's corpse the map of Syria is revealed with the road in a shape of the map itself conveying the journey in the book of the siblings with their dead father.
Choice of typography is carefully selected to represent the mood of the cover design and the layout of the book.
